Agenda for Week 9

Class, you will start working on your Group Research Project beginning Week 9 (lecture time).

In line with this, please bring the following materials:

(1)    Manila paper
(2)    Pentel pen (at least two different colors)
(3)    Short bond paper
(4)    Short folder (to serve as a container for your Research Project portfolio)
(5)    Stapler (with staple wire)
(6)    Binder clip
(7)    Masking tape

Groups who do not have these required materials will be asked to leave the classroom for the time being to buy them (e.g., at the FEU Bookstore).

Please refer to the following PDF document for a sample research project format.

Lastly, per a recent suggestion from one of your classmates, we will have some slight modifications to the grouping system, for this particular requirement.

RE: Reaction Paper #4

For your Reaction Paper #4, you need to peruse the following link.

The hyperlink points to a PDF file containing Gordon Segal's presentation titled Current and Future Trends in ICT.

You may consider this reaction paper requirement as a culmination of our preceding discussion on "Gartner: Top 10 Key Technology Trends for 2013" and your subsequent completion of the expository paper on "4th Shaping the Future Forum 2013: Weaving the Modern Web Platform".

Completing this reaction paper requirement will also give you some ideas on the subject matter and content that you can include in your Group Research Project (further details for which will be given in a future post).

That is, I expect you guys to write Reaction Paper #4 with the Philippine context in mind (e.g., the impact that the current and future trends in ICT would have on the socio-cultural niche in the Philippines).

You might find the following links useful for this purpose:

Case Study: "On Becoming An Antivirus Technician"

Note:  I have made this post in response to a request from one of your classmates.

Otherwise, outline a way to efficiently determine if the laptop is virus-free.
